In South Africa, more than 45.5% of youth are unemployed, and 80% of learners attend schools that are severely under-resourced. Without access to quality education, many children face futures filled with unemployment and poverty.
IkamvaYouth was founded 21 years ago with a simple but powerful belief: Education is the most effective tool to break the cycle of poverty. Since then, we have empowered over 30,000 young minds from undeserved communities to succeed against the odds.
With an average matric pass rate of 86%, and 90% of our graduates going on to access post-school opportunities, our program proves that when given the right support, South Africa’s youth can thrive.
