Reel Lives

Reel Lives is a 501(c)3 non-profit filmmaking program teaching marginalized, refugee and war-affected youth to find an authentic voice through the medium of film. Through professionally led workshops and training, students learn to shape their own stories into compelling visual narratives while gaining marketable skills and advocating for human rights. Reel Lives’ students create high-quality documentaries to be used as centerpieces in our media education and human rights advocacy initiatives. Reel Lives also works with the local media industry and larger economic community to create employment opportunities for our participants and place them in internships, building the road to improved livelihoods.
