IkamvaYouth is powered by volunteerism. We need volunteers to do everything. Being an ikamvanite is an incredibly rewarding and fun experience, but it also requires hard work and commitment (it's the same deal for our learners).
However, the ways in which you channel your contributions are flexible, and while the greatest difference is no doubt made by the highly committed tutors that volunteer 1 - 3 times a week, there is space for those who do not have a huge amount of time to give. IkamvaYouth offers a few different types of volunteer opportunities, with different time frame requirements:
We need volunteers to:
- Tutor matric subjects
- Mentor grade 12 learners
- Run career guidance and life skills workshops
- Teach computer literacy
- Tutor, coordinate, or facilitate our Winter School programme and workshops on anything ranging from creative arts and performance to sports
- Become an Administrative Intern
