Nomzamo entered the IkamvaYouth programme in 2004 at the Makhaza branch in Khayelitsha. Here is a summary of her amazing achievements:
- She completed matric in 2005.
- She graduated from the University of Western Cape with a BComm (Information Systems) degree in 2009.
- Nomzamo is remarkable in her ability to manage her time - she is currently pursuing an Honours degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in Information Systems, working as a lab assistant on the University campus as well as completing an internship with Accenture.
- She also worked as a Library Student Assistant on campus for 2 years.
- She has also given back to her community as she was active for 2 years in the Brawam-Siswam project based at UWC that teaches life skills to high school learners.
