We are currently in the process of updating this, please return in the future to see the amazing achievements of more of our learners.
Since 2003 we have worked with many learners and particularly for our older branches we are starting to see the longer term successes of our past learners. Our learners are an extremely vibrant and diverse group of individuals and the paths that they have followed since matriculating have been equally diverse. We have many learners who have successfully completed tertiary studies at colleges, and universities and some are now pursuing post-graduate degrees in both commerce and science subject areas and are continuing to excel in their studies. At least one learner has started his own extremely successful businesses. Others have pursued careers in the NGO sector and are either working part-time or full-time for some of our partner organizations. Many learners are working in the private sector spanning a range of jobs. Additionally, we are so privileged that so many learners have returned to volunteer at IkamvaYouth both as tutors and in management capacity alongside their studies or careers!
We are still refining the process for keeping track of our learners when they leave school and we hope to be able to document the story of each learner here in the future. If you are an ex-learner and your story isn't here, please contact me (sgodlonton@gmail.com) so that I can get all the information we are looking for and present your amazing story here! We are proud of all of you!
